How It Works ?
1.Pre-Treatment: Water may undergo pre-treatment to adjust its pH or oxidize dissolved iron, making it easier to filter out. In some systems, chemicals like chlorine or potassium permanganate are added to convert dissolved iron into a solid form.
2.Filtration: Water flows through a filter media, which could include materials such as sand, manganese greensand, or specialized iron removal media. The filter media traps and removes the solid iron particles from the water.
3.Backwashing: To maintain the effectiveness of the filter, it periodically undergoes a backwashing process. During backwashing, water is reversed through the filter to flush out accumulated iron and other contaminants, cleaning the filter media and restoring its filtering capacity.
4.Post-Treatment: In some systems, additional post-treatment steps are used to ensure the water meets quality standards, including further filtration or disinfection.
"Iron filters transform water from problematic to pristine, turning everyday challenges into clarity and purity."
